Position Overview:
TruWay Staffing Services is actively hiring dependable, detail-oriented Janitorial Associates to support operations at Sentara Leigh Hospital. This is a temporary assignment (May–July) with strong potential for permanent hire based on performance and attendance. We are seeking individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary healthcare environment.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Rotating weekends REQUIRED
• Assignment runs May through July 

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas 
• Follow strict infection control and safety protocols 
• Safely handle and dispose of waste, including biohazard materials 
• Replenish supplies (paper products, soap, sanitizers, etc.) 
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces 
• Respond quickly to cleaning requests and spills 
• Ensure all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation 

Qualifications:

• Janitorial, housekeeping, or environmental services experience preferred (healthcare experience a plus) 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality 
• Ability to work independently and within a team 
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are REQUIRED 
• Ability to follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines 
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–40 lbs
